Staying in really good shape is never an easy assignment.
For Stacy Wischer, staying in shape financially isn't as easy as doing sit-ups or running on the treadmill. It's a complete workout with long hours and relentless dedication. But after four years, you can say that Wischer is "custom fit."
"I had been a certified personal trainer for over two years and was looking to expand my business," said Wischer, who lives on Grosse Ile.
"After incorporating I opened up the studio in a smaller facility to see if there was a need for this kind of studio. After two years, we needed to expand to a larger business."
With the new studio in place, Wischer and her growing staff were able to offer their clients separate training, aerobic and massage rooms. You could say her clients and the business were getting stronger.
But why is Custom Fit Training a success? The answer is quite simple. It comes down to the unique services offered and the dedication Wischer and her staff put into the job.
"We feel the difference between a typical gym and our studio is that we cater to individuals instead of the masses," Wischer said. "We want each client to get the personalized attention they deserve."
Beginning a workout program or saying you are going to dedicate yourself to getting in shape is often a tough road.
Stepping into a gym can be intimidating for many reasons. You may feel a little embarrassed by how you look compared to others working out around you; you might not have the knowledge to operate some of the equipment; you might not know which piece of equipment is best for you; or you might not understand the ins and outs of a good diet.
None of these questions come into play at Custom Fit Training.
First of all, you won't be working out with anyone other than your personal trainer. So don't worry about how you look. Don't worry about how to use the equipment or which machine is best for you. Your personal trainer will be with you every step of the way. And as for your diet, Custom Fit Training has a professional dietitian on staff -- just for you.
What Custom Fit Training does is eliminate the reservations or concerns or fears you might have. You no longer have an excuse not to get in shape.
In fact, not having a car is no longer an excuse because Custom Fit trainers will come right to your house.
"We have several clients who are motivated to work out, but are unsure what they should be doing," Wischer said. "We can step in and design a program specific for their needs. Once they are comfortable, they do the workouts on their own and we then do check-in sessions to monitor their progress.
"We see clients anywhere from five days per week to once a month. It all depends on what the client wants or needs."
So far, Wischer and her staff have been busy keeping people in shape. And that means her business is in good shape.
"I put my heart and soul in this business for the last 4 1/2 years to create what the Custom Fit Training Studio is today," she said.
"It is my dream come true to open a business that I could help people in a personal way. I think there is so much more to losing weight and looking good. It is more important to feel good."
