Author performs show for students

Author and illustrator Kevin Kammeraad recently presented a multi-media show to elementary school students.

Kammeraad's "The Tomato Collection" presentation was made possible by the Grosse Ile Parent and Teacher Booster Club and the King family/Flat Rock Metal Inc.
The artist's books include "The Tomato Collection," "I Remember," "A Curious Glimpse of Michigan," and "How Much Wood Could a Woodchuck Chuck?"
His multi-media shows feature puppetry, music, humor, audience participation and poetry.
Kammeraad, who grew up in Holland and now lives in Grand Rapids, made presentations for Parke Lane and Meridian elementary schools' students.
His presentations have been developed to be fun, lighthearted and educational. One of his goals is to encourage creativity, writing and music.
He has visited more than 700 schools. He works with his wife, Stephanie, who has visited more than 100 schools.
