Shiver on the River

DETROIT — The eighth annual Shiver on the River will be held Feb. 3 at Belle Isle.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Detroit River and the Friends of Belle Isle, the winter ecological family fun fair is one of a kind, organizers said.
Several Belle Isle buildings will be open for tours.
Family entertainment will be held at the Belle Isle Casino. It will include the “Earth Angels” dance group from Farmington Hills, “Magic John” Anderson, and the Matrix Theatre of southwest Detroit.
More than 20 environmental groups will display the work of their organizations.
A flower show will be held at the Belle Isle Conservatory, and the U.S. Coast Guard Station Belle Isle will be open for tours.
Other features will include the Nature Zoo and the Old Detroit Boat Club Building.
