The Devils (9-5-1) controlled the game from start to finish in a 4-2 win. The Devils out shot their opponent 25-9.
"This was a dominating performance. We were in control throughout," said Grosse Ile Coach Skip Howey.
Jimmy Jurecki got the scoring started off halfway through the first period with a power-play goal on an assist by Cody Holzworth.
The Devils took a 2-0 advantage near the end of the first on a goal by Christian Athens. Jamie Martini had the lone assist.
Carlson showed signs of life early in the second period with a goal from Kyle Bowens.
Grosse Ile regained their two goal lead quickly when Rob Zubke took a pass from goalie Louie Morin and found the back of the net.
After a Marauder goal in the third by Jim Malaric, the home team sealed the game with an empty net tally from Mike Miller.
Howey was quick to praise the goaltending efforts of the Marauders.
"Nick Winrow kept them in the game" said Howey. "Without him it would have been a rout."
