Downriver teams swept the three divisions at the 16-team News-Herald Cheerleading Invitational held at Grosse Ile High School Saturday.

Roosevelt won the top division with 658.6 points. Carlson was the winner in Division 2 with 612.8, and Grosse Ile won the Division 3 title with 627.1 points.
All three Downriver teams led after the first round and were wire-to-wire winners. Each won by wide margins.
Roosevelt topped second-place Livonia Franklin, Carlson topped St. Clair Shores and Grosse Ile easily beat out Madison Heights Lamphere.
Other Downriver teams in the competition were Woodhaven (third place) in Division 1 and Huron and Summit Academy in Division 3.
Members of the Roosevelt team are Renee Bojanowski, Kelsey Burgess, Jessica Burton, Jamie Connolly, Abby Davis, Emily Falcioni, Shayna Hunt, Lindsay Kennedy, Jaclyn Kiger, Allison Langley, Kaitlyn Maiani, Seairra Miller, Jocelyn Mullins, Kelly Pinson, Marina Resto, Lindsey Swearingen, Megan Swint, Terra Werner, Amber Wolfenbarger and Laura Zalewski.
Members of the Carlson team are Sara Ashteneau, Jessica Davies, Jenna Franklin, Alex Heinzerling, Delayna Herndon, Victoria Hiltz, Sara Jokela, Cara Krzesowik, Samantha Martinez, Courtney McCarary, Kaitlyn Mrowca, Kristen Nabozny, Autumn Redfearn, Ronni Slonina, Lainey Williams and Amanda Wyatt.
Members of the Grosse Ile team are Ingvild Brekkhus, Alexa Compeau, Jaclyn Davis, Kaitlin Fischer, Jessica Hazzard, Mega Hazzard, Laura Hickman, Jessica Jacobs, Jayme Judd, Ashley Kowalski, Michelle Maci, Jennufer Mathison, Maddaleno Mikola, Jamey Okler, Sarah Pelts and Melissa Schwandt.
